Day of the Dead: Honoring the Fallen Images of the event on Facebook |
Opening November 1, 2008 |
Featuring altars with ofrendas for both the civilians and the soldiers who have died in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, for the fallen in the struggle for democracy in Oaxaca, the fallen massacred in Tlatelolco in Mexico City in 1968 (40th anniversary), and for the migrants who've died trying to cross into the US to work. The show will also feature paintings and prints on other walls of the gallery that relate to these themes. |
